Our commitment
Through individual coaching, masterclasses, language study, and performance opportunities, participants will deepen their understanding of the repertoire while developing the technical and expressive tools needed to bring French song to life.
Set in France, the program combines rigorous musical training with the experience of living and working within the culture that shaped this extraordinary repertoire.
Features
Voice-Interpretation
Weekly lessons with our outstanding vocal faculty. Lessons focus mostly on diction and interpretation. However, technical advice is available if requested.
Master classes
Each summer, guest artists are invited to share their knowledge of the French Mélodie repertoire with our students.
Performance
Because we believe there is nothing like real performance to learn about performance, singers are guaranteed a minimum of two stage appearances
French Language
With two levels of French, the program concentrates on oral expression, taking advantage of the possibilities that the city of Angers can offer.
Coaching
Focusing on art songs, our coaches will work with each student to apply advice received during the voice lessons and achieve the best interpretation of the music selections.
A typical day
A typical day begins with coaching , followed by French, and voice lessons in the afternoon.
